The Proposal

Louvre is one of the world's largest museum and historic monument in Paris. It was a central landmark of the city situated 5 mins from our holiday apartment. #yusofswenteurope happened from 21 December 2015 to 1 January 2016. The trip won't be possible without the man with the most genuine and kindest of heart, Mr Yusof (Boy's dad). He brought the whole family for the Euro trip! We travelled from Paris-London-Paris. Im truly lucky to be able to spend my days with The Yusofs. It was the time where i get to know and be more bonded with the family. The trip was a memorable one and 31 December 2015 became a significant date coz Boy proposed to me at The Louvre an hour before midnight on one knee and a ring! *MOST HISTORICAL DATE EVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE*

I wasn't expecting anything. I guess couple usually got proposed over at Eiffel Tower.. but i dont. hehehe! knowing me, im an art enthusiast... it was my dream to get married in a museum. *blame Hollywood movie for the influence.. The Vow especially. hehehe.. and so yes lets continue..

That night, Boy told me to accompany him to buy something at the souvenir shop. I was already in PJs.. coz the rest of us already planned to countdown with our PJs (our apartment is just 5 mins walk to the loccie). we will be covered up with our winter coat anyway. haha! followed him but i was having these thoughts on my mind... "kedai dah tutop kan?". Walked pass the shop, and ohh its still opened. Boy said he wanna go The Louvre to recce for our countdown spot. But well i thought he just want to cari chance spending time with me on our last night at the city of Love. Boy started talking about what will happen to us years down the road. Things like, "soon we'll see each other everyday" and all. Naturally im not shy. But when it comes to this, i am really shy and will try my best to change topic. hahaha!

We went around The Louvre.. practically Boy was actually looking for a spot. We finally settled to a corner of Louvre. I felt awkward and know he is up to something already. But ive no clue lah what is it about. anyway it was so cold.... and i was in my sweatpants hahahaha!

He started to say something.. and went down on his knee. i was nervous max and keep telling him to sit properly lah and dont merepek hahahahaha! ive no idea why i said that. mind wasn't stable lah. kanchong k. then i saw the ring. then i cried. and continue crying.. unexpected. i asked if my parents know about this. he said yes and told me he already brought them out on my parents anniversary for dinner and seek for their blessing and permission. i continued crying again. hahahahaha! he then told me to say something else he won't sit. but at the same time telling me that it was up to me. hahaha! OF COZ LAH I SAY YES! hahahahaha! he secretly bought the ring when we were in London. It was the day when we brought Cik Gee out to the British Museum.

*happy sigh... im truly lucky and blessed alhamdulillah.. it feels so good to be in love with someone who love you the same. so glad and thankful to be walking on the same road with you till the end of time. this guy really set his benchmark way up high. truly a Mr Valentino, a responsible gentleman who is sooooo romantic. hehehe.. i love my ring so much. i think he stalk my Pinterest ah to see my dream ring.

not everyone will get to spend their lifetime with their childhood sweetheart. but i do. i love you yusmar yusof...
